Streamer Backdrop DIY
This was my first time creating a streamer backdrop and I’m proud of how it came out! I made an 8’ x 8’ so it was pretty big and took a while, but it is really simple to do.
I only used scissors, tape measure, plastic tablecloth and plastic fencing. Below I linked each product I used.
Tips:
The fencing I used is green and it did show on the top of the backdrop, so I cut streamers and taped them to the top so the draped over and that worked. You could also spray paint the fencing to match the color you are using so it blends in.
I used regular scissors, but since I had to cut so many streamers fiskars roller cutter would have made my life SO much easier!
The “Candy Pink” table cloth that I ordered from Amazon (link below) is more of a magenta color.
I only used 3 colors which are different shades of pink. For each color I cut strips that were: 4ft, 6ft and 8ft long, each strip was a 1.5 inches wide.
Tip: when I cut the strips I rolled the tablecloth so it was easier to cut.
Once all the strips are cut you start adding them onto the plastic fence. Just take one strip and loop it through the fence hole and pull through. I started with the bottom and would work my way up. 8ft strips on bottom, 6ft in the middle and 4ft at the top.
Tip: I went section by section, so I just did the bottom of one section, then the middle, then the top, so I had a better idea of what the colors looked like together and what color I wanted to place for the section next to it.
I added some gold streamer to give it more of a contrast and a little extra pop!
