Romantic and Elegant Backyard Birthday Dinner
When I was asked to help plan a backyard birthday I immediately asked “what’s the theme” always have to have a theme! She was looking for something romantic and elegant to make it feel like an upscale dinner party, since she couldn’t go out to a nice restaurant to celebrate she wanted to bring that to her backyard.
She LOVES the color pink, so I incorporated pink in the napkins, table runner and in some of the flowers. All of the decorations I used can be found below.
12 items you need to make your backyard dinner dreams come true:
Tables
Chairs
Tent (if it’s hot or if you want to hang string lights)
String Lights
Table Linens
Table Runners; these were so simple, but added that extra pop of color to make the florals and greenery stand out.
Tea Lights; you can find these at Dollar Tree, Michaels and of course Amazon.
Candle Holders; I found these really nice silver holders at Dollar Tree! I recommend looking there before you go anywhere else.
Plates, Silverware, Napkins and Cups
Flowers; fortunately I live in Los Angeles and we have the most amazing flower district, so I got all the florals and greenery there for really inexpensive. I spent $60 and probably could have got even less.
Catered Dinner; it’s not worth the hassle of making dinner yourself unless you enjoy doing that. I recommend getting it catered, that way you are supporting local businesses which could use some support right now.
Custom Menus; it’s always a nice touch to make anything custom and again, menus give you that upscale dinner feel. These were simple to make, you can just use word, powerpoint or if you’re fancy and have a cricket, you can use that!
