Dried Orange Garland DIY
Wanting to make your own Christmas decorations this year? Well this one is simple and super cheap to make!
SUPPLIES
5 Oranges (or however many you want, depending on how long you want it)
Cutting board
Knife
Parchment Paper
Cookie sheet
Twine or fishing wire
Step 1: Preheat oven to 250 degrees
Step 2: Cut the oranges into slices, they don’t have to be too thin, I’d say maybe 1/4 inch think will work.
Step 3: Line the cookie sheets with parchment paper. I only used (1) cookie sheet since I didn’t make my garland very long.
Step 4: Place the orange slices onto the prepared cookie sheets.
Step 5: Place the cookie sheets with the orange slices into the oven and bake for 5 hours. I ended up baking mine for 3.5 hours and they were already pretty dried out. You can tell once they start to turn brown that they are down.
Step 6: Let them completely cool off. Once they are cool, take them and start stranding them onto your twine or string. I added faux cranberries to my garland to give it a pop of color, but you can add anything to make it your own.
TIP:
You can make little ornaments with these and place them on ornament hooks and them hook them onto your tree.
