Are you looking for ways to lower your wedding budget? Well DIY is the way to go when you are trying to cut costs on your wedding expenses. Weddings can really start to add up and the next thing you know you are over budget! When I was planning my wedding I tried to DIY everything I could, but that’s because I love a good DIY, so if you are that type of person then these ideas are exactly what you need.

I’ve put together a list of 10 DIY wedding decorations you can do to try to help lower those costs.

 
  1. Votive Candle & Centerpiece

    This centerpiece is simple and cheap, but looks so romantic and elegant. The copper holders are only $8.80. All you need is some candles to put inside and greenery to put around the holders and you are done!

2. Rustic Vintage Table Numbers

If you are going for the more rustic look for your wedding these table numbers are the perfect addition! All you need is the vintage frame, which they found at ikea, burlap, clear number stickers and wah lah!

3. Streamer Backdrop

This streamer backdrop I actually created for a birthday party, but it can be used for any occasion! Just use colors that go with your wedding color scheme and it will be perfect.

 
 

4. Pallet Wedding Sign

This DIY wooden pallet wedding sign is easier to make than you think. All you need is a wooden pallet, write your words in pencil first, paint over it and then add some flowers! This is a simple decoration that adds that fun pretty touch to your wedding.

5. Jenga Piece Guest Book

Instead of spending money on a guest book that you probably won’t look at again, why not use jenga pieces to create a guestbook that you and your partner can enjoy and read every time you play! Games are fun and this would make your jenga so much more personal.

This confetti idea of using natural, eco-friendly leaves, rose petals, lavendar is such a good idea! That way when you throw it you can just leave it you don’t have to clean it up since it’s eco-friendly… right? Well at least that’s my opinion.

Who doesn’t love a little treat?! This is a simple wedding favor that you could make for your guests. Everyone loves sweets and its the perfect midnight snack for after the wedding. This budget friendly gift is easy to put together too!

Believe it or not this floral ceremony backdrop is DIY. You get the wire rack and floral foam garland from Amazon and then you choose which flowers you want. The budget should start at around $345 for this depending on how fancy you want to get with it.

9. Flower Chandelier

Who doesn’t love a good floral chandelier?? Honestly WTF is a DIY Queen and this floral chandelier is great. It’s easy on the bank account and a beautiful addition for any location. Are you have a garden themed wedding? Or a backyard rendezvous? Well try this for your next DIY decor adventure!

10. Paint Chip Escort Cards

This is simple a straight to the point. Go to the paint store, grab paint chips that are in the theme of your wedding, write everyone’s names, cut it up and done! BTW did I mention this is free?! Have fun!
