I used my DIY heart garland and tassel garland to decorate the cart. I added a few sweet treats on there like chocolate covered pretzels and some starwberry with whip cream on some delicious little angel food shortcake dessert cups from Vons. I ended up baking mine for 3.5 hours and they were already pretty dried out. You can tell once they start to turn brown that they are down. Step 6: Let them completely cool off. Once they are cool, take them and start stranding them onto your twine or string. I added faux cranberries to my garland to give it a pop of color, but you can add anything to make it your own. It’s located in Desert Hot Springs which is like 15 mins away from Joshua Tree. It was the perfect size for my husband, myself and our little dog. They have plenty of games to play, Netflix is setup and ready to use and they have a little backyard with a BBQ, which we used of course. There were plenty of restaurants around the area or if you want a nice dinner Palm Springs is about a 20 min drive. In the morning we woke up, made breakfast and headed back to LA. We went to Hidden Valley Trail and it was HOT, so be prepared with lots of water. We had our dog with us and dogs aren’t allowed on the main trail, so we went to another trail around the area. The trail was mostly for people who wanted to rock climb, but there weren’t any rock climbers, so it actually worked out in our favor because it was secluded from the crowds of people.
