Black Wedding and Event Vendors in Southern California
On #blackouttuesday I took time to listen and learn and came to realize that I was not as well informed about the racial injustices towards black people as I thought I was. Now that I have taken that time, I don’t want to be silent, I want to push forward and figure out ways I can help the black community rise above these injustices.
Moving forward, I’m going to make it a point to make sure when I’m organizing an event my vendors are diverse. I know this is only a small step towards helping the black community, but I’m going to continue to keep learning and helping anyway I can.
Below is a list of black wedding and event professionals in Southern California. All of these black business owners are doing amazing work and deserve to be recognized. I know they are going to inspire you like they did me.
EVENT PLANNERS
Julia and her husband Mike have created a business that is unique to them and what they give to their clients. It is both loving and authentic. When I got married 2 years ago we hired SEJ Productions as the coordinators and what a blessing it was to have them. Check them out for your next wedding, event or stylized shoot! P.S. She also does flowers!
Keosha has created a business that caters to boutique style gatherings. She is located in LA as well as Chicago. Her passion for intimate events shows through her work.
Leslie is all about making each event unique to her clients and making sure every little detail is perfect. She has the ability to bring each clients vision to life.
FLORISTS
Crystal says she likes to create a “dreamlike, peaceful energy” and that vision comes through in her floral arrangements. She uses her environment to spark creativity and then finished product is beautiful.
